Mid-State Insurance and Investment Services was founded in 1986 by Joe LaBarbera as an independent life and health insurance agency that operated out of the basement of his parent’s home. The agency quickly grew by meeting the needs of individuals and small businesses in the area. One year later, Mid-State opened its first office in Shorewood, Wisconsin and began offering investment products as well. By 1989 the agency grew into the property and casualty side of the business. In 1995, Mid-State moved to Mequon, WI.
Mid-State has recently had its 20th birthday and is going strong. The once small, home grown agency, today represents nearly 100 insurance companies and over 3000 clients in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. It continues to specialize in individual and small to medium size business needs. Our size and staff of nearly 20 employees places us in a perfect position to offer an array of insurance and investment services to fit the needs of our customers. Our strength is that we get to know you and your business. In return, you get to know us and our knowledgeable and friendly employees. The agency has been founded on the simple rule of treating others as we would want to be treated.
